WATER TESTING

Managing Lakes Through Testing
Managing ornamental lakes often requires knowing their water chemistry and biology, ranging from pH, total alkalinity, dissolved solids, oxygen levels to the types of aquatic pests present in the system. Obtaining these values requires a well-equipped laboratory staffed with skilled technicians capable of operating a range of analytical equipment.
Testing for Water Chemistry.
H2ology has a lab with tools such as spectrophotometers and Ion Chromatography machines to obtain vital water chemistry data.
Aquatic Species ID Including Golden Algae.
The skilled lab techs use centrifuges and high-magnification objective microscopes to identify aquatic species, including Golden Algae, so our field staff are informed perform their tasks well.
Testing for E. Coli
E. Coli Bacteria in a lake are synonymous with the presence of fecal matter, which can be harmful to humans and animals. That is why H2ology has the tools and skills to test for E. coli bacteria as part of a lake management strategy.
Testing for Giardia
Giardia is often introduced to water systems by environmental conditions and direct contact with fecal matter from humans or animals. That’s why it is not unusual to have positive readings in waters where dogs swim.
